Murder-Suicide Near Freeland

Butler Township, Luzerne County-- The bodies of 51 year old John Walton and his 41 year old wife Stacey were found inside their home on East Butler Drive near Freeland early Monday morning. The Luzerne County Coroner says they each died from a single gunshot but it was still undetermined who was the perpetrator and who was the victim. A family member made the discovery just after 8 o'clock an called 9-1-1.. JoJo Walton, the father of John, told Eyewitness News, "We really don't know what happened we really don't. John was staying with us for the last three and half f months. He was trying to settle everything with Stacy.He was a good son and really tried to help people." Butler Township Police are heading the investigation assisted by State Police. Butler Township Police confirm that Stacey Walton had filed a P.F.A against her husband was recently withdrew it.
