Scranton, Lackawanna County - United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) and its Elm Street revitalization team will hold a public meeting to obtain community views and opinions on our Elm Street Program in South Scranton, which is administered by the PA Department of Economic and Community Development (DCED).
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the South Side Senior Center located at 425 Alder Street in Scranton. Citizens will receive additional information on what UNC has accomplished in South Scranton over the first three years of the Elm Street Program, as well as updates on other UNC revitalization efforts taking place on Cedar Avenue.
In 2009, South Scranton was designated an Elm Street Program by DCED, bringing funding and
organizational support for the resident-driven South Side Revitalization Project, which is administered by UNC.
For more information on the public meeting please contact Jill Murrin, Elm Street Manager, at 570-346-6203 ext. 16.
