Family Service Assocation Names Campaign Chairs

Michael Zimmerman, Chief Executive Office, Family Service Association announced Attorneys Ruth and Kim Borland, Borland & Borland, L.L.P. as the 2013 Co-Chairs for this years' Annual Campaign. "Family Service Association and Help Line have had a long and rewarding partnership with Ruth and Kim and the Valley Santa volunteers. We are truly pleased that they agreed to accept our invitation to chair this years' Annual Campaign for our agency."
Attorneys Ruth and Kim Borland are partners in Borland & Borland, LLP, which was established in 1979. The firm is located on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre and employs twelve staff, including four attorneys and one attorney who acts of council. They are married with two children, Sarah and Joe, both also lawyers affiliated with the firm. Ruth and Kim graduated from Dickinson College. Ruth graduated from Boston University School of Law and Kim from Harvard Law School.
Ruth and Kim Borland have worked with local volunteers on Valley Santa since 1984. They continue to coordinate the program which provides Christmas Gifts for children whose parents are experiencing difficult financial times. The purpose of Valley Santa is to make sure no child goes without a present under their tree on Christmas morning.
In 1997, the Borlands launched a new initiative, the Meyers High School. Speech & Debate Team. They serve as the head coaches of the team and have made a significant impact on the lives of the many students they have coached and guided through competition at the many tournaments organized by the Borlands.
Both Ruth and Kim have served on many charitable boards and committees in the community
