Teen Killed in Back Mountain Crash

Harveys Lake, Luzerne County -- The Luzerne County Coroner's office has identified the teenager killed in a violent crash in the Back Mountain.

Friends of 18-year-old Jason Schilling gathered Saturday afternoon where he was killed.

The Dallas teen was at the wheel of a car Saturday morning around 6:30 when it veered off a windy section of Carpenter Road.

The car slammed into a tree.

Luzerne County Deputy Coroner Tom Moran said Mr. Schilling died at the scene from multiple traumatic injuries.Police believe speed contributed to the crash.
