Brittany Sweeney

Glad to be back in her home state of Pennsylvania, Brittany Sweeney joined Eyewitness News in September of 2012 as the Williamsport Bureau Reporter. Now, you can catch her on the area's only lifestyle newscast PA Live! every weekday at 4 p.m.

Brittany grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and graduated from Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. She went on to become an owl at Temple University, in Philadelphia, where she got a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. While in school, she worked as an anchor on the student-run newscast Temple Update.

After college, it was on to the news business for Brittany. She packed up and headed to Parkersburg, WV for her first television gig as an overnight producer at the NBC affiliate WTAP-TV. Her behind the scenes career was short-lived, Brittany quickly moved in front of the camera onto the anchor desk as the morning Anchor on the Daybreak show.

Although the Buckeye fans tried to convert her, Brittany always roots for the home team, especially the Phillies. She is excited that she and her dog Valentine have the opportunity to be back in the Keystone State closer to family and friends. Brittany is always looking for intriguing story ideas in NEPA and loves volunteering, so if you have anything she can help with feel free to shoot her an e-mail at bsweeney@pahomepage.com.
