At a budget hearing Wednesday evening, District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis said her office has 20-year-old printers and copiers.
She says some of her assistants are forced to use their own computers.
Her budget for 20-13 actually increases by 11 percent.
Salavantis was faulted by at least two councilmen for the very-high salaries the county detectives in her office are paid.
Salavantis defended them, while coming under criticism for asking for more cash, in light of those detectives' salaries.
Other department heads said their staffs should be able to absorb the projected cuts.
