Luzerne County-Before Friday's Hanover High School and Holy Redeemer battled it out on the grid iron .. a special dedication took place for Hanover's Football team manager.
It's a thank you 35 years in the making for Mike Lewis.
The road that runs down to Hanover Stadium was renamed in his honor.
Photojournalist Derek Call takes us to the touching tribute
Mike Lewis has been part of the team since the '70's.  Mike would follow his brother Walt to practice.  After a couple of days a trainer said to Mike if he was going to be at the field he was going to put him to work.
Mike does everything, he's a coach, he helps get the equipment ready, he keeps the water bottles filled, and he makes sure our younger managers do a good job on game day.

Over his 35 years as manager for the football team, Mike has served under 6 head coaches.  In honor of his service to the Hanover Area Football team, the road outside the school and stadium will be named in Mike's honor.
