Youth Basketball Coach Facing Theft Charges (Noon Live)

Investigators say he stole thousands of dollars from the league he helped start.
The-I-Team broke the story last week about the Luzerne County Lightning Basketball League
Kingston Police say 36 year old Christopher Walsh stole $6,000 from the Luzerne County Lightning youth basketball league for personal use.
Walsh turned himself into to Kingston Police - he was arraigned on theft charges,
Detectives say he stole $6,000 from the Luzerne County Lightning Youth Basketball League over the past year.
The league consists of 16 teams and 160 boys and girls from the 5th to 11th grades and it is a member of the Amateur Athletic Union.--or A.A.U.
League Officials say they discovered missing money in August.
Today Walsh was charged League Officials hope parents and kids will hang with them.
Walsh is also a teacher at the West Hazleton Middle School.
The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick spoke to the superintendent this morning. He said they have not decided what will happen with his status in the classroom in light of these theft charges..
