It has become an all too common  sight..police at a crime scene in Hazleton.  Murders-- shootings..armed robberies and the like have people in this community very concerned...
Enter Vilmare and Craig Budde. They are organizing a Crimewatch in their  neighborhood..
the Northeastern section of the city..

"I think people are starting to see what's going on they do need to et involved as a result of too much crime going on gangs drugs economy putting strength into it too" Said Vilamre Budde

They tried to start a Guardian Angels unit several years ago but they could not get support.   But things have changed in the city..and not for the better..

"Being separate alone you have more of a chance of getting robbed beng invlved in numbers the criminals are not going to stick around walk away" said Craig Budde

Donna Cussatt and her daughter Jenn thinks its a great idea..

"A lot of crime and stuff crimewatch would be good  think it would help" said Donna Cussatt

"I think it's a good idea people will think twice before doing something if they know someone is watching" added Jenn Healy

The bottom line organizers say like the old adage says..there is strength in number...just possible crime can be kept away for their homes.
