The clinic hours were set to include late afternoon and early evening hours as well as weekends to maximize convenience for residents to be vaccinated prior to the upcoming flu season. The Wilkes-Barre City Health Department will also hold vaccination clinic hours at King's College but that is limited to the college student and faculty population.

"The vaccination program administered by our health department is essential to the public health of the city," said Mayor Thomas M. Leighton, "We are one of the few communities in the Commonwealth with a municipal health department and I encourage all Wilkes-Barre residents to take advantage of this program."
