NEPA Newborn Shares Birthday with Dad, Grandfather

The odds of the three Nixons sharing the same birthday are astronomical. "Zero. I didn't think it could happen," said Mr. Nixon. Mathematically speaking, it's actually less than one percent. "I can't even explain how it's so unusual that he would be born the same day and it means a lot to our family," said Mrs. Nixon.
When the Nixon's daughter-in-law, Katie, became pregnant last winter they realized another October 3rd birthday was a possibility. "That was her due date. And then babies normally don't come out on their due dat," said Mr. Nixon. "We were hoping and it actually came about and, yeah, everybody thinks it's pretty neat," said Mrs. Nixon.
Baby Ryan is due to come home from the hospital on Saturday. It'll be another 12 months before the Nixon clan can celebrate the shared birthday but you can bet when they do it'll be extra special. "Yeah, because now we've got three." said Mr. Nixon. "It just is going to bring them all closer together so we're thrilled," said Mrs. Nixon.
As an added oddity, Mrs. Nixon shares her birthday, April 9th, with her son, Jesse.
