Scranton,Lackawanna County- Dress for Success Lackawanna is proud to premier "The Wine, The Witches and the Wardrobe" - an autumn affair that lets the spirits awaken our souls and allows women to drop their brooms and prove that the black dress, in all of its forms, is nothing short of - magic.
The event to be held on Thursday, October 18 at POSH in downtown Scranton, PA will provide a women's night out, with optional mischief. Held 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm, the bewitching hours will include a fortune teller, magician, shoe and basket raffle and vendor stations. The suggested attire is a little black dress which can be accessorized with the offerings of the assortment of participating vendors as you sip wine and nibble on appetizers. Vendors will offer items for purchase as well as tips and demonstrations to help attendees look and feel their best.
Committed vendors already include: Advocare Nutrition Company, Bella Faccias, Duffy's, Fusion Hair Design, New Laundry, Lia Sophia, LiLa Body Contouring Spa, Over the Moon, Pierre's, Thirty One, Twiddly Bits & Treasures, Tastefully Simple, Runway, Well Heeled and Freed Love. Entertainment will be provided by Rich Jenkins and Damian the Magician and photography by Michael Straub Photography.
All ticket sales benefit Dress for Success Lackawanna, a non-profit organization that offers services to help women enter the workforce and maintain employment. The organization's daily efforts promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
The organization well-known for its annual luncheon and fashion show in early spring is hoping the event will bring greater awareness to its efforts to support the local female workforce. Dress for Success Lackawanna cordially invites community members to attend and help empower our working women.
