Lackawanna County-  This morning a handful of students came together at North Pocono High School.
They say one of the main things they do at the event is pray for fellow students  and given whats happened within the last week in nearby Luzerne County  they want everyone to know they are not alone.

Even before the sun came up Wednesday morning students from North Pocono High s+School were outside together...
They came to pray at an annual event called "See You at the Pole."

"A lot of people pray for guidance in our leaders and strength in our students and a very common thing people pray for now-a-days is fellow students and the issues that they face." said Kyle Major, a North Pocono High School Senior.

This year,  the recent deaths of four young people in Luzerne County were on the minds of many here.
These students didn't know those involved but they still remembered them.

"Its sad. Its nothing that's expected of course. It seems like people tend to focus on the darkness in the world" said Tristan Halliday, a North Pocono High School Junior.

"A lot of time we just forget that god's there for us and there's actually other people that are there for us." added Eleyna Lamparter, a North Pocono High School Senior.

Students from school districts around the region held events similar to this one.
Parents say with the recent deaths kids need to know its important to share their thoughts and feelings with someone they trust.

"Kids really do need to learn to stand up and to stand up for each other and to really encourage each other" said Jerry Major, a parent.

For the students... They say its also important to know that no one is alone.

"Everybody's kinda going through something. Everyone has something that they go through and I don't think people realize how similar we are in our problems." said Kyle Major, North Pocono High School Senior
