Pottsville, Schuylkill County - Schuylkill County investigators say what was reported as an accidental baby death is now a homicide case.

Police say the infant died at the hands of his mother.

13-month old James Bossler suffered his fatal injuries April 1st inside his family's west market street apartment.

His 28-year old mother, Jennifer Bossler, first claimed her baby unexpectedly stopped breathing during a nap.

An autopsy later revealed multiple bruises.

Investigators say Bossler finally admitted Friday that she assaulted the child because he would not stop crying and asking for his father.

Bossler remains held without bail in the Schuylkill County prison.
