Anglers and Others Warned About Wildfires

Across the Commonwealth- The DCNR is reminding visitors to wooded areas in the state to take steps in preventing brush fires.
The DCNR is also reminding anglers who will be heading out on April 14 on the beginning of the state's trout season.
Open fires are forbidden on state forestland when the fire danger is listed as high, very high or extreme.
Last week a brush fire at the French Creek State Park area of Berks County burned 400 to 500 acres.
The State Forestry Department is also reminding landowners to check with the municipalities about outdoor burning laws.
