Jenkins Township, Luzerne County--   80 year old Joe bizub has lived in their Patch Section of Jenkins Township his entire life and says the flood of 2011 is ther worst he has ever seen. He said, "This was much more dangerous and damaging than Agnes in 1972..much bigger and more longlasting." The Patch Section is near River Street and the Susquehanna River ,flood waters pour into the neighborhood and refuse to leave. May here blame the new 8th Street bridge as the reason since it was built lower than the old steel bridge and may have acted as a dam..forcing flood waters into their neighborhood. Mike Nocera's home is surrunded by water he said, "We need a buyout from the Federal Government, this is too mch for us to handle.
