Loring Named MAC "Player of the Week"

King's College softball standout Becky Loring
(Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) has been named the MAC Freedom Conference "Player of
the Week".
A sophomore third baseman, led
King's to a 6-0 week by batting .667 (8-15) with two doubles and two home runs,
while registering a whopping 1.067 slugging percentage. She also contributed
with eight RBI and scored six runs. Defensively, Loring played a perfect third
base, fielding .1000-percent with 14 assists and four put-outs on 18 total
chances.
In the process, Loring helped King’s improve to 20-6
overall and 7-1 in Freedom Conference games as the Lady Monarchs secured an
11th straight season with at least 20 victories.
Loring and
her King's teammates will host Keystone College in a doubleheader Wednesday at
3:00 p.m. at Betzler Fields.
