RED BARONS CELEBRATE RETURN HOME WITH VICTORY

FOR JUST THE FIFTH TIME IN THEIR LAST 21 GAMES, THE SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE RED BARONS WERE VICTORIOUS TUESDAY NIGHT, BEATING THE DURHAM BULLS, 2-1 IN THE OPENER OF AN EIGHT GAME HOME STAND. ANTHONY MEDRANO`S RBI SINGLE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEVENTH PROVIDED THE BARONS WITH THE WINNING RUN. SEAN FESH PICKED UP THE VICTORY IN RELIEF OF STARTER PEDRO LIRIANO, WHO GAVE UP ONE RUN ON FIVE HITS IN SIX AND TWO THIRDS INNINGS OF WORK. FRANKLIN PEREZ GOT HIS SEVENTH SAVE OF THE SEASON. THE BARONS RESUME THE HOMESTAND AGAINST DURHAM ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT 7:05 AT LACKAWANNA C0UNTY STADIUM.
