SCRANTON`S STRONG NAMED COACH OF THE YEAR

A WEEK AND A HALF AFTER BECOMING JUST THE THIRD DIVISION THREE WOMEN`S COACH TO REACH 600 WINS, THE UNIVERSITY OF SCRANTON`S MIKE STRONG WAS NAMED THE MIDDLE ATLANTIC FREEDOM CONFERENCE WOMEN`S COACH OF THE YEAR. THIS IS THE SIXTH TIME HE`S EARNED THAT HONOR, AND THE FIRST SINCE 2000. SCRANTON IS 24 AND ONE ON THE SEASON, AND FOR THE 13TH TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY, FINISHED LEAGUE PLAY UNBEATEN. THE LADY ROYALS HOST FDU FLORHAM IN THE OPENING ROUND OF THE CONFERENCE PLAYOFFS WEDNESDAY AT SEVEN AT THE LONG CENTER IN SCRANTON.
