FORMER SCRANTON/WILKES BARRE RED BAORNS GENERAL MANAGER TOM VAN SCHAACK HAS A NEW JOB HE`S NOW THE GENERAL MANAGER OF THE HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA STARS, THE DOUBLE A AFFILIATE OF THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS. VAN SCHAACK WAS GENERAL MANAGER HERE FOR JUST ONE SEASON, BEFORE BEING LET GO BY THE STADIUM AUTHORITY IN JANUARY. THIS WILL BE TOM`S 20TH YEAR IN PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL. BEFORE COMING TO SCRANTON, HE WAS ASSISTANT GM FOR THE TRIPLE A SYRACUSE TEAM FOR EIGHT SEASONS. TOM VANSHAACK, THE NEW GENERAL MANAGER OF THE DOUBLE A HUNTSVILLE STARS
