Lackawanna County Murder Arrest

(Friday May, 26) A Jermyn woman is facing several murder charges after police say she killed her step-son.
wandaly Perez-hood turned herself into police Friday afternoon.
Cops say that Perez-Hood beat her three year old step son Isiah Hood to death last June.
Perez Hood called an ambulance to her Jermyn home saying her step son was having a seizure but members of the Lackawanna County District Attorney says there was no way the boy died because of the seizure.
Perez Hood`s daughter is a key witness in the case because she told police her mother hit Isiah in the head because he wet his diaper.
Perez Hood now faces first and third degree murder charges.
