(Tuesday, April 18) A man`s legs were crushed after an industrial accident in Luzerne County Tuesday afternoon. It took emergency crews nearly an hour to free a worker from a cardboard packing machine at Waste Reduction and Recycling in Hanover Township. The man, whose name has not been released, was apparently stepping on some cardboard pieces when his legs became trapped in the machine. Firefighters say his injuries are severe and the high tech equipment slowed their rescue. Crews flew the worker to Scranton CMC. Firefighters say he was conscious and talking when they pulled him from the machine.
