(Monday, April 3) A Lackawanna County man faces charges after a short foot chase in Scranton Monday evening. Police tell us an officer patrolling just before five saw Joseph Marsala of Throop and another man making what appeared to be a drug transaction in the 300 block of Cedar Avenue. Once the other man left the scene, the officer approached Marsala and began talking to him. He then fled the scene, but was eventually caught about a block or two away. Police only found a syringe on him. They also found out he has a bench warrant for unpaid fines. Marsala is now in the Lackawanna County Prison.
