Mother Accused Of Trying To Kill Her Children And Herself

A Carbon County mother is accused of trying to kill herself and her two children because she didn`t want to leave them with her boyfriend.
Police say 25 year old Ada Smith admitted to taking 10 anti-depressants early Tuesday morning, giving her five year old son and four year old daughter five pills each, and then lighting a mattress in her bedroom at her Summit Hill home on fire.
Investigators tell us she then changed her mind and attempted to put the fire out.
Smith and her kids were taken to separate hospitals for their injuries.
Both children were released and are now staying with relatives.
