The Nanticoke man convicted of killing his friend by running him over with a jeep last year learned his fate today.
Brandon Obaza was sentenced to six to 12 years behind bars.
Last July, he ran over 24-year-old Stephen Novak with a jeep in a wooded area near West Main Street in Nanticoke after the two had been drinking.
Obaza took off, leaving the jeep on top of Novak, and went home to try and commit suicide.
At the time of his arrest, Obaza claimed his victim asked to be killed - but now he says he didn`t mean to do it.
He has received seven months credit for time served and will also have to pay prosecution costs and nearly 500 dollars in funeral expenses to the Novak family.
