A 12 year old boy who is charged with setting a deadly fire had his first day in court Monday and he`s being tried as an adult. Police say on December 9th Djinn Buckingham spilled tiki torch fluid on a hallway carpet in his home and lit a match, igniting a bookshelf. The fire killed his 11 year old cousin Sierra Carranza. A state trooper testified Monday that Buckingham admited to his mom over the phone that he started a fire, but the family insists it was an accident. His lawyer plans to file a motion to get his case removed from adult court.
