(Sunday, January 29) Police spent nearly 12 hours on the scene of a chemical scare in Wyoming County on Sunday. Haz-Mat crews, clad in chemical suits, went into a mobile home at the Tall Timber Village on Route 6 in Factoryville around 6:00 PM Sunday night. The team came up from Harrisburg, after police say Sherry Lang opened a letter inside her house and a white powder came out. Lang was inside with a man, Paul Tassey, when the envelope was opened. Both started feeling sick and light-headed. Both Lang and Tassey were taken to a hospital and later released. The Haz-Mat crew tested the air quality and removed the envelope. Right now, they are doing tests to determine what the powder was. Investigators will not say where the envelope came from.
