F.B.I. Will Continue Investigating Everhart Theft

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
There are no leads yet on that stolen art at the Everhart Museum, but the F.B.I. has announced it is not giving up. In November, someone stole an Andy Warhol print worth roughly 30 thousand dollars and a Jackson Pollock painting. The value of the Pollock is under dispute because there`s no proof that it`s authentic, but if it is, it could be worth more than 10 million dollars. There had been talk that the F.B.I. might pull out of the case because the agency only investigates values upwards of 100 thousand dollars. But, a spokeswoman says the inability of the museum and its insurance company to come up with a value for the Pollock painting has not affected their investigation.
