THE WILKES-BARRE CHAPTER OF UNICO HELD ITS ANNUAL DINNER TONIGHT.. THE GROUP HONORED JONATHAN JOINER.. OF WEST SIDE TECH.. WITH THE UNICO BRIAN PICCOLO AWARD.. JOINER OVERCAME MANY HANDICAPS.. HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN LOCAL SPORTS.. AND IS A STRAIGHT "A" STUDENT.. MANY AREA CHARITIES ALSO CAME UP THE BIG WINNERS TONIGHT.. Atty. John Terrana W-B Chapter Unico says "Tonight we are giving away 30 thousand dollars to local charities who support mental health, Unico is the largest fraternal organization of Italian Americans... What we do is raise money locally through our all star football game on Thanksgiving... " THE WILKES-BARRE CHAPTER OF UNICO WAS FOUNDED BACK IN 1953.. TONIGHT`S DINNER WAS HELD AT THE WOODLANDS.
