To Catch A Predator Part 1: The first words our first predator heard were "police! on the floor,your under arrest. The suspect was crying "i`m sorry". Our Andy Mehalshick asked "who were you here to meet,jess? And the suspect said "No sir" and continued to cry and wimper. This is the man,your kids should fear on the internet. We caught him, but thousands more like him are out there and will likely never be caught. We`ll tell you who this guy is later. This arrest was the end result of our online sting. Our WBRE Investigative Unit worked along with Butler Township Police at their headquarters, in Luzerne County. Investigative Producer Alexis Fisher, Officer Bill Feissner and Andy Mehalshick, spent dozens of hours in chatrooms. Alexis posed as a 13 year old girl named "Jess." During the sting Alexis had these words to say: "People are looking at my profile people see that I`m only 13 and their still talking to me." Andy Mehalshick has a question for Alexis: Andy said: "And as soon as they saw that they wanted to talk privately in a chatroom or Instant Messaged you?" In just minutes we got our first visitor. And it got down right "filthy"!! One online person wrote: "sidekicks..i have a 10 in ---- what do you got?.. i`ll send you pics of my ---- if you send me pics.. " And a man of his word he sent us a picture of his "genitals." Another online person wrote and asked for Jess`s real name and home phone number and said "I bet all the boys love you." The two encounters we`ve just told you about are only 2 of 149 chats "Jess" had that led to sexually explicit conversations. Now, remember the guy we were telling you about earlier? Well, on the internet his name was heat 1995s and only minutes after we started our chat he asks for a phone number so he can set up a rendevous with "jess." Also during our sting operation "Jess" had a few phone calls with our predators. During one of the phone calls with our first predator this is what "Jess" said: "Are you picky about age? I mean it doesn`t freak you out that i`m only 13 right?" Not even 24 hours later he came knocking at the door of our motel we and the cops were waiting.. A few knocks at the door and the police opened the door and tackled our first predator to the floor. Once in handcuffs Andy Mehalshick wanted to have a little chat with the predator. Andy: "The chatroom chatlog is pretty graphic you knew she was 13 suspected she was 13. Suspect: "Sir I apologize don`t do anything to me let me go I just wanted to talk I swear to God!" Andy: "What were you intentions?" Suspect: "I just wanted to talk this is the first time I got aol two months ago. I just wanted to talk." Andy:"The chatlog says you wanted to have sex." Suspect: "I did say that." Andy: "There are people looking at this and saying this is the type of guy my kids have to worry about what do you want to say to them." The suspect had no answer to Andy Mehalshick`s last question. Heat 1995s is really 25 year old Sam Saman of York, Pennsylvania. He drove 100 miles in a rain storm to meet our 13 year old girl.
