Accused Killer Admits His Guilt

A tearful Jose Antonio Castro Sanchez told a judge he shot and killed Julio Calderon in the middle of a busy Hazleton intersection last October.
Castro Sanchez says he did it out of self defense.
Today, he pleaded guilty to third degree murder..
A plea the District Attorney is pleased with.

"They expressed they didn`t want to sit and go through the trial. They were concerned having him admit that he shot and killed the victim, which in this case he did."
Sanchez will be sentenced on June 5th. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 to 40 years in prison.
