Bear Creek Brush Fire 4/13/06

An out of control brush fire damages a home in Bear Creek this afternoon. At least eight fire companies responded after the forest fire began to spread but crews couldn`t contain it in time. The flames damaged a home at Beaupland Road and Lewis Drive. For a short time, it even threatened another house. Chief Bill Sennett/Bear Creek Fire Dept. "At this time a few acres burned down got out of control it was really windy this afternoon and are units were on scene just didn`t get full control of it and caught to house on fire." The home will need repairs. No one was hurt. That fire is under control now and firefighters stayed on the scene to make sure there were no more flare-ups.
