Lackawanna CO. Woman Accused Of Embezzling 2/9/06

She was entrusted with keeping track of money for the community festival now, she is accused of breaking that trust, by stealing $20,000 dollars.
Detectives say 35 year-old Laura Klees of Olyphant was charged stealing the money from Olyphant`s Queen City Days Festival.
Police say she volunteered to be treasurer for the festival last year, but an audit found turned up the shortfall.
Bail for Klees was set at $17,500 dollars, her child will stay with her parents while she is in custody.
