Three Radio Stations Sold 12/10/05

The Federal Communication Commission for the first time is allowing the Lackawanna County District Attorney to sell 3-radio stations belonging to former owner Doug Lane...Part of the money will go to charity. Lane, was a longtime radio personality and pillar of the community. Lane was convicted of sexual abuse nine months ago. Prosecutors say Lane used the stations to lure in his victims. Now Lane`s radio stations WWDL,WICK and WYCK will be sold to Bold Gold Media. The 2-million dollars from the sale will go to Lane`s creditors. Another 3-hundred thousand will be paid to lane`s victims. The rest will go to non-profit groups. Lane will be serving 14-years in jail.
