Proposed Plan to End Teacher Strikes in the Commonwealth

Senator Bob Mellow is proposing `Last-Best Offer Arbitration` to keep teachers off the picket lines.
Teachers in both the Old Forge and Crestwood School Districts are currently "on strike."
The proposed law calls for teachers and school boards to settle their contract disputes before the school year begins.
If they can`t agree by April 30th, a three-member panel would be set up to consider each side`s last-best offer.
And a final decision could be made by the president judge in the county of the striking school teachers.
