According to the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs the soliders who were killed in action are identified as
27-year-old Staff Sergeant Daniel Arnold of Montrose,
39-year-old Staff Sergeant George Pugliese of Carbondale,
20-year-old Specialist Lee Wiegand of Hallstead,
21-year-old Specialist Eric Slebodnik of Carbondale, and
19-year-old Specialist Oliver Brown of Athens.
All five soliders will be posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge.
