Motorcycle Crash 9/16/05

A 31-year-old man is seriously hurt after crashing his motorcycle in Wilkes-Barre today. Police say he was speeding on Main Street just before entering Hanover Township. That`s when he went off the road, hit a curb, then hit a utility pole. The impact split the bike in two and threw the driver about 40 feet. Emergency crews flew him to Scranton CMC. Those at the scene say he was wearing a helmet.
