Toll Road Surprise 07/12

By: Import User
Updated: February 6, 2007
A single-engine Cessna airplane made an emergency landing on the Turnpike just south of the Pocono interchange where the Turnpike and I-80 intersect. The 75-year-old pilot, "Red" Ewing, was flying from New Jersey to his Nebraska home when he apparently ran out of fuel. No one was hurt, but the Federal Aviation Administration officials grounded Ewings plane. It was towed to Hazleton where it will be checked out.
