Dozens of fire fighters from three counties called out to fight a 9-alarm house fire in Carbon County, that spread to two other homes. Flames broke out at a double block along the 300 block of North First Street in Lehighton just after noon today. Officials believe it may have started in basement, then spread to the rest of house, then to two neighboring homes. Police spotted the flames first and got everyone out unharmed. North First Street, Route 209, and the Lehighton Bypass are all shut down because of this Lehighton fire.
