Old Lumber Mill Destroyed in Fire 4/7/05

By: Import User
Updated: January 25, 2007
The fire destroyed the main building that housed a long-time lumber business, the now vacant Dreater Lumber Mill. Investigators say someone was burning garbage behind Maxie`s Pizza on Keyser Avenue in Old Forge but the wind blew the fire across the Taylor line. It took about an hour for crews to put out the flames. A burning ordinance is in effect and Old Forge police say charges will be filed.
