Fatal Crash in Monroe County 3/13/05

By: Import User
Updated: January 25, 2007
It happened just after 5 p.m. on the Delaware Water Gap Bridge on Interstate 80. Authorities say the driver of the motorcycle was heading west when he slammed into the truck. The cyclist was pronounced dead on the scene, but there`s no word on that person`s name at this time. That accident created a huge mess on the bridge, and forced authorities to shut down both lanes of the road for several hours. Traffic was backed up for miles in both directions, but State Police from Pennsylvania and New Jersey tried to detour drivers. That part of Interstate 80 is now open.
