A judge in Sunbury today sentenced James E. Frey, Junior of Milton to death for kidnapping and murdering his estranged wife, 45-year-old Debra Frey, more than two years ago. Police say he drove her to a cornfield in Upper Augusta Township, shot her, then turned the gun on himself but survived. When he pleaded guilty earlier this month, Frey told the judge he wants to be put to death.
