Updated: January 25, 2007
Last February police spotted 46-year-old Nicholas Sando speeding in West Pittston. When they pulled him over, he took off. Arrest papers say Sando asked a passenger to open a beer and cut a line of cocaine for him to snort during the chase. Officers finally stopped him by intentionally smashing their vehicles into Sando`s. He was charged with aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, drunk driving and possession of a controlled substance.
