Glen Lyon man shot dead in Police Confrontation

One man is dead after a physical and sexual assault leads to gunfire in Glen Lyon.
State troopers were at the scene on Orchard street just after 4 o`clock this morning.
The suspect, 32 year old Howard Post, had allegedly assaulted a woman inside the home and was holding a shotgun to her head. Three children were also in the home at the time.
Post confronted the police by kicking open the front door, pointing the gun at the cops, and screaming "Let`s go".
One of the troopers fired one shot from his pistol... instantly killing Post.
It was later learned that Post`s shotgun had a trigger lock on it but he covered it with his shirt before confronting the police.
Neighbors say that this isn`t the first time that Post caused trouble at the house.
The Glen Lyon woman did have a protection from abuse order against Howard Post.
