A Scranton army reserve unit is moving out... to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
About 140 members of C company, 365th engineer battalion out of Scranton are being mobilized.
The soliders will be heading to Fort Benning, Georgia before heading to an undisclosed location overseas.
And more Scranton soldiers could be getting called to duty.
The 55th brigade, based at the Watres armory, has been put on alert and could eventually be shipped out to the middle east.
Some members of the 55-th are already serving in Iraq.
Being put on alert is the first step in the deployment process.
They could be activated sometime in the next six months.
