Deadly Crash in Luzerne County

A Wilkes-barre woman is dead, and a little girl seriously injured in a two-car crash in Bear Creek Tuesday. State Police tell 28 News, 75 year-old Zelda Salamon of Wilkes-Barre was heading south on Route 115 around 8 o-clock this morning. Investigators say she tried to make a left hand turn onto Pittston Boulevard, and crashed into a car heading in the opposite direction. The driver of that car, 40 year-old Elise Hollabaugh from New Jersey, was flown to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, her 8 year-old daughter, Julia Lessing, was also taken to Lehigh Valley where she is being treated for internal injuries.
