Newsmakers To Air Sunday-July 26, 2009, Topic: The Boy Scouts

This Sunday’s Newsmakers will feature the Boy Scouts of America.

 

WBRE TV Senior Producer Jayne Ann Bugda hosts the Public Affairs Program. 


  Bugda  will have as  her guests Tom Slavicek,  Scout Executive, Northeast Pennsylvania Council-BSA, Joe Niemiec, Council Executive Board Member and 2010 Scout-O-Rama Chair ,

And Chris Bender, Scout Master from Mountaintop and Scout Master for the National Jamboree Troop for 2010.

     They will talk about the history of The Boy Scouts, which is preparing to mark a major milestone, 100 years old.   The panel will take a look at how Scouting has changed through out the years and how it has remained the same.   The many good deeds the Boy Scouts take part in throughout the year will be highlighted.  

  Joe Niemiec is the Scout Master for Troop 485 in Laflin at St. Maria Goretti Church.

Chris Bender is Scout Master for Troop 106 in Mountaintop at Christ United Methodist Church

 

      Newsmakers will air on WBRE TV Sunday, July 26 at 5:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.  The program will repeat on WBRE-TV on Sunday, August 2 at 5:30 a.m.   It will air on WYOU –TV on Saturday, August 1, at 6 a.m.
