RailRiders Announce Job Fair for Seasonal Positions

With the calendar steaming towards spring, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are looking to fill seasonal positions to help staff the brand new PNC Field. The RailRiders will be holding a job fair on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. These new positions are essential in enhancing the fan experience and providing supreme customer service at PNC Field.

"We welcome all comers that would like to get on board and become part of the RailRiders family," said RailRiders president and general manager, Rob Crain. "These positions will be the frontline of our supreme customer service efforts for the hundreds of thousands of fans that will enjoy PNC Field this season. We are excited to welcome the hundreds of NEPA residents that will be hired as a result of this event."

The job fair will take place in Mohegan Sun's lower-level ballroom next to the horse track. It will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with interviews being conducted on site. A variety of positions are available, including ushers, ticket takers and sellers, suite attendants, game entertainment staff, grounds crew, and many more. The RailRiders are also looking for those interested in internships with the sales, marketing, and operations departments.

Application forms are available both online at swbrailriders.com and hard copies are available at the team's corporate offices at 50 Glenmaura National Blvd, Suite 101 in Moosic. Job seekers can fill out their application and bring it to Mohegan Sun, or they can complete one on site. All interviews will be conducted at the job fair and all applications will receive thorough consideration.

Additionally, Legends, the RailRiders' official concessionaire and merchandiser, will hire its own seasonal slots at the job fair. Its openings include roles like suite attendants, grill cooks, concessions stand managers and other roles detailed in the attached file.

2013 Seasonal Staffing Categories

Ushers: Assist fans to and from their PNC Field seating locations

Parking: Provide direction to all vehicles entering and exiting PNC Field's parking lots

Ticket Takers: Scan purchased tickets for all fans entering the ballpark

Ticket Sellers: Box office representative responsible for selling tickets and managing Will Call

Bag Checkers: Examine patron bags for prohibited ballpark items

Suite Attendants: Assist suite & club level patrons with seating locations, Concierge

Game Entertainment: PA Booth Staff (music, stats, video board, CCTV)

Pinstripe Patrol: On-field entertainment crew (pre-game, inning breaks, post-game)

Mascot: Perform as one of the RailRiders' most recognizable characters!

Game Day Emcee: On-field voice and talent of PNC Field

Bat Boys: Equipment assistant with player at-bats (home and visiting teams)

Clubbies: Prepare and assist home and visiting teams with all facets of clubhouse needs

Fun Zone: Set up inflatables, interact with children and parents

Broadcasting: Game day stringer, line score operator

Grounds Crew: Prepare and maintain field for regular usage

EMT: Provide emergency medical services to the patrons of PNC Field

(Proper certification required)

Interns: Student experience in Sales, Marketing, and Operations
