Shooting Near Penn College Under Investigation

Williamsport, Lycoming County- Investigators say shots were fired in an alley between two student houses on the 300 block of Susquehanna Street.  It happened just a block  from the Penn College Campus.
   The  shooting in the Williamsport alley Wednesday afternoon left one man dead.

 A neighbor  heard the gunfire from inside his home.

 "I was in the house getting ready to eat supper. I heard a bang and just never moved."

His response, or lack of, wasn't out of fear. This man says, it happens all the time.

 
"This is about the 6th shooting within two blocks of my house."

Other people who live nearby seem to feel the same way.
 
  "It's nothing unusual. It's just an everyday occurrence. I think we're just over due for this one here." said Dennis Morrison

  A woman who identified herself as the victim's big sister came here to the spot where he was murdered to lay a stuff animal. She said her little brother was a good kid, a student of Penn Tech and just turned 21 two weeks ago."

Police are not identifying the victim, but did confirm he was a male in his 20s.

The murder scene sits just one block from the Pennsylvania college of technology.
