The Kazzrie Jaxen Quartet To Perform in Honesdale

By: Jayne Ann Bugda
Updated: January 9, 2013

Honesdale, Wayne County--Looking for something a little different? How about an evening featuring a mix of jazz standards and original compositions? The Cooperage Project is proud to announce that the Kazzrie Jaxen Quartet will be performing live on the Cooperage stage on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Paying homage to our rich jazz tradition with straight ahead swing artfully embroidered with apposite improvisational 'excursions', the Kazzrie Jaxen Quartet strives to tease the beauty from the melodic line while supporting it with rich, varied harmonies and urging it along with an insistent, but refined rhythmic pulse.

Members of the Quartet include Kazzrie Jaxen on piano, Charley Krachy on tenor sax, Don Messina on bass and Bill Chattin on drums.

The Kazzrie Jaxen Quartet at The Cooperage, 1030 Main Street in Honesdale on Saturday, January 19. The show starts at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6:30pm. This is a BYOB event. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Donations will be collected at the door. In the event of inclement weather, please visit The Cooperage Project
 or call 570.253.2020.

The Cooperage is operated by The Cooperage Project, a not-for-profit organization that seeks to build community through arts, education, and good times.
